When a fire devastated Gawad Kalinga in San Rose, Pasig, 314 families were left homeless. Guided by the principle of Operation Walang Iwanan, the Rotary Club of Roosevelt, QC took action and turned compassion into meaningful support. Led by Legacy President Mhey Aldovino, the club collaborated with community leaders to listen to the families and identify their urgent needs. Cxperts Asia, which has maintained a long-term relationship with GK San Rose, contributed to the relief effort through a generous donation. Thanks to the club's leadership, 70 families, representing around 250 individuals, received the requested food, personal essentials, and 300 loaves of bread from Gardenia Philippines. Each item addressed the families' most pressing needs and carried a powerful message: no one would be left behind, and the community had not been forgotten. "Maraming salamat. Ilang taon n'yo na kaming sinusuportahan at hindi n'yo kailanman kami nakalimutan, lalo na ngayong may kinakaharap kaming sakuna," said Kuya Sammy Baculao, President of the GK San Rose Homeowners Association. His words underscored the importance of listening in disaster response. By uniting corporate support, Rotary service, and community trust, the Rotary Club of Roosevelt showed that compassion becomes meaningful action when assistance is tailored to people's actual needs.
This is how Rotary Creates Lasting Impact, leaving no one behind.
